In all levels of baseball and softball the catcher is the most important position on the field. Yet in practice and offseason training, catchers practice is neglected by coaches of all levels due to lack of time, or inexperience coaching the position.

Meet Coach Stamilio

Behind The Mask founder Joel Stamilio is a former catcher at the University of New Haven, and has coached high-level travel baseball for over 20 years. Coach Stamilio has run catchers clinics, lessons, and coaches seminars for catchers and coaches of all ages and experiences.

Coach Stamilio is also the owner of All Access Sports in Plainville CT, Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at Southington High School, and coach for The CT Bombers as the program's catching director since 1999.
